This year, for Zine Month, I’m running my first ever Kickstarter. It’s for a game called “Me, the Singularity“, and it’s a TTRPG adaptation of Supercircuit‘s visual novel of the same name.

End of 2019
Six months since I last posted! Unlike last time, I’m not going to make the mistake of promising to restart regular blogging again. I should have known better than to tempt fate.
As before, I’ll present evidence of the RPG work I’ve been doing instead of blogging, by way of an apology. Continue reading
KeyForge Genesys Part 1: Character Creation
The upcoming release of KeyForge, Fantasy Flight Games‘ new Unique Card Game, has got me pretty excited. Since I was lucky enough to be given a couple of decks at GenCon for free, I’ve been introducing people to the game wherever I can, and even dropping by preview events for extra game time. November 15th is burned into my memory as the official release day, and I’m sure I’ll be picking up a deck or two in between playing a few more games. Continue reading
GenCon 2016: Day Two
Halfway through the con and I’ve still not played any roleplaying games! No games of any kind in fact, except for yesterday’s Dresden Files co-op card game demonstration. This is something I’ll definitely be fixing tomorrow, and to be fair social considerations have taken up a big chunk of my Friday – including reuniting with an old friend that I’m delighted to see again after such a long time of separation. GenCon 2016: Day One
GenCon day one is over! And unsurprisingly, it’s been great. As always, making a solid push into the trade hall has been the main focus of the first day, and I think we’ve made it about two-thirds of the way through. Which leaves plenty for us to do tomorrow! Continue reading
The Hype Strikes Back: (Possible) 2016 RPG Releases
About a year ago I wrote about RPG releases I was looking forward to in 2015, and examining the list now is pretty embarrassing. Of the ten games I mentioned, two already had PDF releases in 2014, two still haven’t come out yet, one has been officially abandoned for now, and one seems to have been unofficially abandoned (or least, the hint of an upcoming Cortex Plus “Heroic Roleplaying” game no longer appears on the Margaret Weis website).
I’m hesitant, then, to do something similar for 2016… Continue reading
RPG Kickstarters: Hype By Any Other Name
Three weeks since the gush-a-thon that was my 2015 can’t-wait-to-play list, and yet again I’m selling my soul to the Man. This time though, instead of spouting about games we can only speculate about, I’ve decided to be a bit more practical, and point towards future RPGs that you can support right now on Kickstarter. Continue reading
All Aboard the Hype Train: 2015 RPG Releases
Due to some difficult personal stuff I neglected this blog entirely last month, to the confused dismay of absolutely no-one. Now that things have started to settle, for better and worse, I’ve been thinking about the future – roleplaying games included. Continue reading
