2023 is the year I took over as organiser of the UK Tabletop Industry Networking group. I hadn’t planned on it becoming a large chunk of my work, but over the year it really ballooned – we’ve made a lot new friends, boothed at three conventions, and grown the following of our newsletter substantially. What I’d imagined as a side-gig I could spin to promote my games a bit has turned into something more substantial, and I’ve got lots of plans for how to keep expanding in the new year. Of course, that will demand even more of my time, and I’ll need to find a way to compensate myself for that. If I don’t, I’ll have to drop it – and no-one else will pick up this much work for free. I want to create something sustainable enough to outlast me.
